On August 7, 2024, the National Assembly Committee on Appointments approved 19 out of 20 Cabinet Secretary nominees proposed by President William Ruto. The committee rejected the nomination of Stella Lang’at for the Gender position.

- Alfred Mutua – Labour and Social Protection
- Wycliffe Oparanya – Cooperatives
- Justin Muturi – Public Service
The committee did not provide reasons for rejecting Lang’at’s nomination. President Ruto will need to propose a new nominee for the Gender position.
