A gang of thugs broke into a private home in Parklands, Nairobi, stealing Sh800,000 and various valuables. The robbery occurred on Saturday evening while the homeowners were at a temple for prayers.
The gang targeted an apartment on Ita Road, ransacking two master bedrooms before escaping with the cash and other goods.
Among the stolen items were assorted jewelry, an HP laptop, a Lenovo laptop, two Casio wristwatches, and two mobile phones.
Police suspect that the gang had prior knowledge of the cash and valuables in the home, leading to their targeted attack. Authorities are currently in pursuit of the suspected thieves.

In a separate incident in Githunguri, Kiambu County, a 25-year-old man named George Kamau Njoroge was lynched by a mob after snatching a mobile phone from a pedestrian.
The victim succumbed to his injuries at Githunguri Catholic Hospital. This incident highlights a troubling trend, as cases of mob lynching have been on the rise.
Authorities urge the public to surrender suspects to law enforcement for proper processing and prosecution. Police report that up to three mob lynching cases occur daily.
Petrol Station Heist in Eldoret
Additionally, a gang raided a petrol station along the Eldoret-Nakuru highway near Rupa Mall. On Saturday night, the gang stole 42 assorted gas cylinders from the Shell petrol station.
The robbers terrorized the attendants on duty before escaping with 25 full gas cylinders of 13 kilograms and 17 cylinders of six kilograms.
The attendants reported that around six men arrived in a Toyota Noah, asking for water to cool their vehicle’s engine.
They then overpowered the security guards, forcing them into the generator room and tying them up with sisal ropes.
After breaking into the gas cages, the suspects made off with the cylinders, leaving the attendants shaken but unharmed.
