On an interview with Jeff Koinange Live at Citizen tv, Gen Z activitist Morara Kebaso Adressed various issues regarding corruption.
Morara, who is a lawyer and businessman, made a dramatic entrance into the Royal Media Services grounds. Additionally, he humorously impersonated the President from the roof of his vehicle.
In the interview, Morara acknowledged receiving funds from Kenyan citizens, who sent him money through Mpesa as a token of gratitude for his activism.
He said the funding is what supported him to tour various counties in kenya for his activism activities. Morara revealed to have already visited 19 counties so far.
Morara pointed out that during William Ruto’s tenure as Deputy President and President, several projects have either failed to commence or been abandoned due to massive public funds being looted.
Moreover, he refered to the president as corrupt and that the president’s corruption is what influences the other members of the government to follow along.
Furthermore, he talked of his insecurities i.e. fear of being assasinated by the government. He acknowledged being safe as a decision which he had decided to make by taking precautions.
Additionaly, he revealed to have recieved a call from people around the president and eventually the president himself. He stated the president offered him a state position in the government in which he turned down.
He said he turned down the offer, believing that accepting it would have led him into corruption due to demands from superiors.
State House spokesperson and journalist Hussein Mohammed denied Morara’s allegations, accusing him of lying on national television.
He acknowledged Morara’s work as good but rebuked him for alleging contact with the president. However Morara said he would provide proof of the call.
In conclusion, Morara adressed the president and advised him to stop lying and think of himself as a leader. He pledged him to car about the people and the children of Kenya.
